Faculty of Ushuluddin “Syarif Hidayatullah” State Islamic University Jakarta Indonesia, in collaboration with Indonesian Association of Qur’anic Studies (AIAT), will hold International Conference on Qur’ān and Ḥadīth Studies (ICONQUHAS) and the 2nd Annual Meeting of Indonesian Association of Qur’anic Studies, on November 6-8, 2017 in Jakarta. The conference focuses its discussion on Theme “The Current Status and Development of the Qur’anic and Hadith Studies: Sources, Discourses, and Practices,” and covers five suggested topics below:

1. Methodologies of the Qur’an and Hadith studies;
2. Living Qur’an and Living Hadith/Sunna;
3. Educational Institutions of the Qur’an and Hadith studies;
4. The Qur’an, Hadith, and gender, politics, science, media, popular culture, and
5. Qur’an and Hadith Studies in Indonesia.

The deadline for the paper submission (max 5-7 pages) is August 10, 2017.

The ICONQUHAS 2017 provides a forum for Qur’ān and Ḥadīth scholars engaged in teaching, research and publication to share ideas, interact with others, present their latest works, and strengthen the collaboration among academics, researchers and professionals.

In this International Conference, we are expecting to receive more than 200 papers, and planning to accept 80 papers for presentation. The accepted paper will be submitted to be published in an internationally indexed conference proceeding (Thomson Reuters published by Atlantis Press), and the best papers, after some revision, will be recommended to be submitted to Scopus Journals, National Accredited Journals and other local journals.
